What to compare between quotes
- Wall thickness and UV inhibitors: thin, cheap vinyl can yellow, warp and go brittle in South Texas sun. Ask for the profile thickness and the warranty terms.
- Reinforcement: aluminum or steel inserts in bottom rails and gate posts stop sagging and help in high wind.
- Post setting: posts set in concrete, at the depth the manufacturer specifies for wind.
- Style: solid privacy panels catch the most wind. Semi-privacy and picket styles let some through.
